What we target, how we test it, and how to tell us we got it wrong.

Our target
This site is built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a pass condition in our build pipeline rather than an aspiration in a paragraph — a release that fails the automated checks does not deploy.
How we test
Automated checks run on every route on every commit, and a manual pass runs before each release.
- Automated auditing on every route, blocking the build on failure.
- Keyboard-only navigation of every interactive element.
- Screen reader pass on the primary journeys.
- Colour contrast verified for every foreground and background pairing in the token system.
- Reduced-motion honoured — every animated figure has a finished still frame.
Known limitations
Complex diagrams carry text alternatives describing the process rather than the picture. We think that is the more useful description, and we would like to hear if it is not.
